Our History
The Charleston County Missionary Baptist Association (CCMBA) was founded in 1923 by ministers who pastored churches in the Charleston Area during that period.
Churches and Ministers preveously affiliated with the New Ashley Baptist Association, often met many miles away from Charleston. Therefore, the pastors that were in attendance felt that an Association comprised of the churches of the Charleston area could be formed to offer convenience from the distance that they were traveling and still meet the same objectives
